Angola Peace Song

Throughout the civil war in Angola there have been UNITA musicians and Government musicians. For someone on one side to hum a song from the music of the other was sometimes seen as a sign of disloyalty. In 1997, the organization Search For Common Ground gathered popular musicians from both sides to create a song together for peace called "A Paz é Que Povo Chama" (The People are Calling for Peace). BSC made the editing of the music video possible, in which we see people who have been separated for decades come together, work together, and create together.
The song became a big hit, and the war continued, unfortunately. Then, five years later, on the day of the ceasefire, Angola TV repeatedly played the music video. The song finally became what it intended to be in the first place: a them song for peace.

Turning Point 95

The Film Travels around the world

Turning Point 95

50 years after the liberation of the Nazi extermination camps, 367 people from 33 different countries and from all walks of life gathered together near the Auschwitz concentration camp for 3 sessions over 3 days (August 1995).
Their common goal: honor the memory of the victims, study this extreme example of man's power over man, examine the lessons of history in order to participate in a different future. In 50 years from now, what decisions will we be proud to have made today?
Based on participants' testimonies (historians, camp survivors, key people from communities in conflict, teenagers…) and images of the camps, this documentary conveys some of the pains of history and hopes of how we can forge the future.

At the Heart of Manipulation

An eye-opening documentary about the power of editing, or how by using harmless footage an ill-intentioned editor, with a bit of talent can create a eerie and scary piece on cults… Comparing raw footage with the edited broadcasted final product, explaining the techniques and possibilities of editing, the film unearths and denunciates audiovisual manipulative methods, particularly practiced on the French National Television Channel TF1… A true case study.
